Jeannie in a Bottle

Life as a mum in Adelaide, Australia

We recently received an invite to a special screening of Mecha Builders at the Australian Space Discovery Centre and I thought this was the perfect time to visit as we had never been to the discovery centre before.

While SAFM's Holiday Fun Fair has ended, I still wanted to write about it so that you (and I) can bookmark this event for 2023. This 10-day-event timed during the school holidays and held at Bonython Park was just the perfect size for my toddler to enjoy.

As a toddler mum, I have an immense appreciation for all things child-friendly and FREE! And Adelaide is certainly blessed with plenty of things to do with kids that are absolutely free.

Our favourite playground of the year would have to be George Street Reserve.

Location:

George Street, Marion, SA

Okay okay, I may be a little biased as it's so close to us. But seriously, read on to find out why I've deemed it our favourite for 2022.

It only took me over a year to share this but here's a link to our first ever magazine feature: Speckled Pup Magazine.

This isn't exactly the recipe I use as I've discovered one where you can just chuck everything in the Instant Pot and come back to it all done and ready (that's a mama winning right there). But I'm so glad that my toddler still eats this vegetable-filled stew even now that she's nearly 3-years-old.

What's your favourite recipe from home?

Always,
Jeanne

*Thank you to Speckled Pup Magazine for the feature.*

Inner West Domestics has just launched in Adelaide and they have so kindly gifted this mama with a General Clean. Already established in Sydney and Melbourne, they have expanded their services to Adelaide.

It's been ages since I last cleaned my oven. One, because I couldn't be bothered. Two, because those chemicals for cleaning your oven were just terrible. Finding out about an effective chemical-free method inspired me to get cleaning. The method is simple and uses bicarb soda and vinegar.
