Sugar Loaf at Hallett Cove Conservation Park

by - 10:06 PM

One of the best things about going around Adelaide is that you can easily feel like you have transported yourself to a whole new different world - if only for an hour. For today's post, we travel to one of Australia's best geological and archaeological sites. But don't take it from me, I'm no expert and surely can't explain how over a history of millions of years, nature took its toll and resulted into this beauty (check out official South Australia websites for more on the history). And geologists and archaeologists might be able to explain their different scientific theories and histories, but really, we cannot even begin to grasp the wonder of God's marvelous creations. How beautiful are the works of your hands, oh Lord?

The Sugarloaf at Hallett Cove Conservation Park
How To Get There

We googled "Hallett Cove Conservation Park" but got a little lost at first as I couldn't find the entrance to the trail my friends took me to the year before. But getting there should be easy for you, dear reader, once you know that all you need to spot is the beachfront parking area and the Boatshed Cafe.

The Experience

At the side of the cafe is a not-so-obvious entrance to the trail (spot upper right photo in the above collage). The day these photos were shot felt like the hottest day of my life because we went at the peak of summer. We were dying for a milkshake after. Personally, I preferred the experience when we visited during sunset in the autumn/winter season last year.

But the summer is just as beautiful, just don't forget the sunscreen! While there are many who jog/brisk walk along this trail for some exercise, I was just there for a leisurely stroll. You can see these beauties that resemble hard refined sugar for yourself anytime as I hear they are always open.

Now on to the outfit, this is an occasional fashion blog after all..

Sunnies - Marc Jacobs, Cold shoulder crop top - Factorie, Watch - hubby's G-shock, Harem pants - Forever 21, Lace-up heels - Rubi

The clouds were beautifully aligned in an almost unreal formation that day. Also check out how I styled this off-the-shoulder cropped top for the beach HERE.

Are you into geology and archaeology? Or are you simply happy to gaze in wonder and take photos like me? Lol. Either way, we all have to protect and conserve nature and the beauty of the earth that God has blessed us with.

Always,
Jeanne
