Boracay 2014

by - 11:55 PM

I was in Boracay this month to attend my friend's beach wedding. (See what I wore to the beach wedding here.) The morning before the wedding though, we got to enjoy the beach. I have been to quite a few beaches around Cebu and even around L.A., as well as the also well-loved Malapascua and Bantayan Island, but I swear, nothing compares to Boracay's clear waters and the softest sand. Larger text and bold letters for emphasis. The sand is just that soft.

The last time I was here, there were many intricately designed sand castles but I didn't see any this time. Maybe it's because it's September and not the peak season and yet, there were still plenty of tourists (who party at night especially).

The weather was beautiful. It wasn't scorching hot as we are in the midst of the Philippines' rainy season and it had been raining on this island the days before. But on this day, the sun came out to play mildly.
And here I am, you know, just chillin' on the beach, sippin' on my banana chocolate vanilla shake. Yes, this is the life.. Lol. I finally got to try the famous Jonah's shakes. There are quite a few Jonah's branches on the island so if you want to make like the tourists do, it won't be hard to spot one. Wish I ordered a different flavor, but you can't mistake how especially rich and creamy their shakes are.
Maybe I just love the beach and maybe I just missed Boracay, but I couldn't help repeating the phrase "so beauuuttifuulll" over and over. Because yes, Boracay, you're beautiful. We'll see each other again. <3

  11. Sandcastles here in Boracay are actually prohibited. One has to secure a permit to make one, but kids make them anyway. :)
