Melbourne: National Gallery of Victoria, Shrine of Remembrance, and Fitzroy

by - 9:09 AM

I visited Melbourne again during Spring. While I thought it would be warm, it was cold and windy for a Spring day. Luckily, I brought my floral embroidered denim jacket with me.

Because I had already seen Melbourne CBD and The Great Ocean Road and other Melbourne highlights (see Melbourne Itinerary HERE), I meant to check off some Melbourne stops that I missed out on the first time.
National Gallery of Victoria - floor

National Gallery of Victoria

It was quite difficult to get a park but we somehow managed to find one very near the main entrance. And since I'm no art expert, I won't go into detail about the exhibits but it was worth the quick tour. Entrance was free after all. I walked in and was greeted by such pretty floors - perfect for an Instagram shot. Lol! And of course, the rest of the gallery was very beautiful.

Shrine of Remembrance

From there, we walked a few blocks and made it to our next stop - the Shrine of Remembrance - where we were able to take in a picturesque glimpse into history.

Fitzroy

For lunch, I asked my brother to drive us to Fitzroy.
I really didn't know where we should eat there and didn't bother to do my research. All I knew was that I wanted to see Fitzroy. What a quaint area and dare I say the most hipster suburb I've ever been to! Lined with restaurants and stores that sold expensive clothing to vinyl records - it really was such eye candy.
Fitzroy, Melbourne

Funny enough, we walked into a taco restaurant only to realise that everything on the menu was vegetarian! My husband and brother were NOT happy about that. Lol. So we walked out and realized that there were rows and rows of vegan restaurants. We finally found a Japanese restaurant that we were happy with.

So I hope you enjoyed this photo diary. I also want to share with you this floral ruffle hem holiday sundress from Zaful that I was supposed to wear with this outfit. Unfortunately, it was 2-4 sizes too big for me. :( I'll have to give it away to one lucky girl!

What I'm Wearing:

White strappy tee - Zan.Style (as worn HERE)

Always,
