Jeannie in a Bottle

Life as a mum in Adelaide, Australia

Looking for something other than dinner and a movie at the mall? How about a long, lazy and luxurious lunch followed by a lovely walk into a trail dotted with little fairies? Or swap it around and start with a late afternoon walk into the nature trail and end it with a fancy dinner and some wine. Sound good to you? Read on and let me take you along on a lovely date with my husband.

Let's be honest, the Australian winter is nothing compared to winter in other countries. So we summer loving folks really shouldn't complain. But still, there is a need to turn the heater on. So here's how I'm living out my winter.

Getting our own place and moving into an area with my friends as neighbors has somehow made me feel like a character in Desperate Housewives for a second - without the extreme drama. Sometimes I still feel like my husband and I are just kids playing house and pretending to be grown ups. But wait, I guess I AM grown up, and I've become domesticated! *gasp!* Ever feel the same? If you can relate to these 20 things, then you're definitely currently #adulting like me.

Editing these photos had me singing, "Are we out of the woods yet (3x)?" Just because, well, I was literally in the woods for this shoot. Hence this motivational post about what to do to get through a challenge because we all go through challenges in life where we feel like we are in the woods and the bright light at the end is nowhere in sight. Whether your current challenge is striving towards graduation, that thesis, that new job you want to excel in, a new business venture, a paradigm shift - whatever you're going through right now, read on.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, as they say. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of apples, off I went to go apple picking at my first time attending a "Pick a Pink Lady" weekend in South Australia. Pink Lady apples, obviously.

My square prints from Printiki couldn’t have arrived at a better time! K and I moved back to Adelaide and I couldn’t wait to make the place our very own and I badly wanted to have our photos printed out. We’ve gone through beautiful milestones, adventures and travels together as a couple and I thought printing them out in the cutest square prints would be the perfect way to tell a story.

A love story of milestones, adventures, and travel told with Printiki prints.

Having lived in Moonta for half a year, we've met some awesome people, gained valuable experiences, and have gone on beautiful adventures. Here's a few of the many wonderful things you can do in the Yorke Peninsula if you're looking to spend your holiday in this quaint destination.

1. Crab Raking in Port Hughes
Never knew you could rake crabs? Neither did I. We bought our crab rake at the fish and chips store by the beach at Port Hughes for $15. If you think about it, that was a good investment since we've caught several crabs that could have sold for much more than $15. But into our tummies they went!
