It was my second time in Melbourne. I had already seen Melbourne's CBD, the Great Ocean Road, and even free tourist attractions in Melbourne (see blog posts for itineraries). This time, I wanted to see the famed penguins who reportedly parade their way back home every night. Depending from where you're staying in Melbourne, Phillip Island is 1-3 hours drive away. Now some people stay there a couple days but we only made it a day trip. Read on for our one-day Phillip Island itinerary.
Every end of the year, I like to look back and reflect on the year that has come to a close. It's always an amazing feeling when you remember just how blessed you've been. In 2015, I moved to Australia, got engaged and got married, and graduated from university. In 2016, we got our permanent residency, had tons of adventure, and at the end of the year ended up moving to the countryside.
This year began with us living in the countryside, moving back to Adelaide during the first quarter, and ended up purchasing our first home towards the end of the year! And we also achieved our dream wedding in the Philippines this year. 2017 also saw me through 3 career specialties at 3 different sites, building up my resume to be quite an impressive one.
But first, some adventures along the way:

I visited Melbourne again during Spring. While I thought it would be warm, it was cold and windy for a Spring day. Luckily, I brought my floral embroidered denim jacket with me.
Because I had already seen Melbourne CBD and The Great Ocean Road and other Melbourne highlights (see Melbourne Itinerary HERE), I meant to check off some Melbourne stops that I missed out on the first time.

Both my husband and I became fans of Jord’s wood watches the
moment we laid eyes on my zebrawood watch from the Frankie series that I first
featured HERE .
Opening the box to reveal the Dover timepiece in ebony and copper was no different. I felt like I literally became the emoji with the heart eyes.

It's Spring in Australia. The sun has come out to play, and so have I. Off we went for a quick road trip down south of Adelaide to pay the Fleurieu Peninsula another visit.
